I have a 2016 Scrambler FT, and recently had a minor crash in which I broke off the small tab that the rear brake rests on, and includes the rear brake light actuator button. Long story short, welding the cast aluminum doesn't seem to be a good option, drilling and tapping to install a stud to make the brake work is at best a temporary solution, and so I'm hoping to replace the whole plate with an OEM part.
I'm having trouble finding out whether parts across years vary - OEM new this part is about 240.00 but there are some perfectly serviceable used parts from 2015 FT models available but I have not been able to determine if they share part numbers / will work on my bike - any experts on this matter out there who can confirm one way or another?
These are the parts I've found:
82412821AA which seems to be the more recent version from 82412461CA
So far that's only been identified as fitting the 2016 and 2017 models - can't confirm if 2015 had the same though I'm hoping the 2015 parts will fit! There's a couple pics of the damaged part below.
