OK, who has the under seat battery maintenance plug and who does not?

This seems to be a common weirdness among owners but I am hoping that it is just buried in an area that hasn't been seen yet. My owners manual (USA) specifically states there is a plug under the seat to utilize with a maintenance charger for the battery. I have searched everywhere for it along numerous areas after some have even sent pictures of where it should be and it must be buried somewhere.

I am curious how many out there have found it and where they finally did. The standard area is supposed to be in a corner above the USB plug but even then it's sketchy. I am definitely going to bring my owners manual in on the first service and have the dealer show me where it is if it does exist on mine. I have seen more people come back and say they don't have it or can't see it vs. the ones that say "yes, its right here"

Seems like an oversight on the design if its that hard to locate.

It may be something that they are supposed to install at the dealer during the PDI process. Maybe dealers are skipping this step.
I always keep +1 of these Battery Tender fused cables on hand in my garage, so that I have one sitting around if I need it for a new bike. I have one of them wired up to every bike in my garage.

If the dealer doesn't have one on my bike, I will in short order :)

Mine is quite close to the rear cylinder plug cap

Mine doesn't look like that. I also looked under the seat. Not there either. My first service is scheduled for next week. I will bring manual and ask where plug is. They are swapping out USB modual as it doesn't charge. Maybe they will have to order this as they forgot to put it on.

Mine does but only when ignition on.

I called our dealer and gave her a heads up that we did not have the harness installed. I am willing to bet that she will have to order the parts.

Mine is under the seat. just loose and hanging under the USB socket.
I have the white USB connector wiring harness, but nothing else.

If they have to order the harness I am going to ask them to order the one near the rear cylinder. That one looks a lot handier.
I checked, and looked very hard, and verified I do NOT have a factory one. First line of US models (first one delivered in MN). I did add my own.
Mine was installed along the left side frame rail under the seat. So are dealers doing this or is this happening in Thailand?

I've had a good hard look and definitely haven't got one. I have fitted an Optmiser lead though.
This has become a very interesting conundrum since no one person so far seems to be even on the same page even if they do have one. I as well am going to bring in the manual, and ask, OK where is this?

I 'm thinking that as well. It is going to be interesting to go in and show them the manual and then ask them if they can show me where it is under the seat.

Mine is the same plug but extended to the rear of the bike. Cable tied between the left hand rear fender and frame. Icon, Australia
I'm just going to have them order the wiring harness. I am sure that Laura will do everything to make it right.

Yeah she has taken good care of me in the past. I do find it odd however that this seems to be such a weird across the board issue.
I do not have the lead on my bike which is odd as Si has it and got from same dealer last week. Not worried about it as have my own lead to use for my Optimate which uses a different connector
My red icon has the same as SailorJerry, rider's left zip tied to the pillion grab handle. I'm in California.
