My father and I sold our bikes (a 2019 Icon and a 2017 Africa Twin) and got ourselves two Desert Sleds that got delivered yesterday! We got some accessories coming our way and some plans to change the material of the seats. Happy times!

Hey something interesting, the collector 2-1 pipe differs from sled to sled, the press photos have the same pipes as your bike(1 piece), but I've also seen them in like this(two piece with exhaust springs):

weird I like the look of the 1 piece as your bikes have.

That one piece exhaust is going to be tricky when it comes to removing the oil mesh filter that sits behind it. On the two piece version you can just remove the springs and seperate the lower section from the header part to access the filter. I wouldn't want to have to remove the header from the vertical cylinder as it's very inaccessible.

Maybe there's a joint behind the heat shield.

I think there is. Else it would be impossible to get the headers on or off.

Essentials: ditch the CAT and get it dynoed; new quality rear shocker; tune suspension to suit your riding. All the rest is icing on the cake.
