I always thought there was too much black on my Scrambler - So I had the wheels painted silver.
I am really pleased with the result.
My mods so far are:
Termi and Upmap
Ohlins and Andreanis
Tail Tidy
FT Handlebars
Softer seat
White Stripe
Lowered Front Mudguard
Thruster Grips
Silver Wheels

I have been tempted to look at various powder coating options as that seems to be the most durable. I was liking red spokes with black rims.
Dave if you're going to have the wheels powder coated just have them done red all over, I've had red wheels on both my hyper and S4r.
Red certainly looks great and ask the powder coat guy to clear coat them as they will stay looking like new.

Nick I've found that having the powder coated wheels clear coated makes them very durable, in summer I sold my monster and the new owner thought that the wheels had recently been done were as they were powder coated 5years previously.

Thanks for the comments.
They are painted with a clear finish. I couldn't make my mind up between powder coating or painting - lots of different opinions - in the end I found a guy with a great reputation who said he can paint them and it will last.
I hope you don't mind, I just thought I would share a couple of photos of my previous Ducatis which show where I got my inspiration/ideas from for the Scrambler.

P.S. Ducatis are S4R and 1100

I shall get mine powder coated by a local company, they did me a centre stand a few years ago ,10k miles and it still looks like new, Nice pics Ray, wheels look great, think I'm leaning more to the silver rather than gold , but who knows, I may change my mind again

OK guys and gals, go to the dmc moto Preston Facebook page and scroll down to the 16th January, there's four pics with the bottom right one being the scrambler that's been painted gloss black and had the wheels powder coated candy gold plus on the 20th of January there's another pic this time of the Foggy scrambler that's been built, go and have a butchers to help make your mind up.
