I can say from experience that extra, hmm, "padding" does NOT make this seat any more comfortable!!! :black_eyed:

Looking forward to either SC or Sargent getting something out, preferably ASAP (they're my butt's favorite seat makers :angel9:)....

FW, while I personally don't dig the color, that seat definitely rates HIGH on the comfy-looking scale!! :D

Greer, SC does indeed have the option of purchasing the whole seat, at least on some of their more popular models. Personally, I'd just be purchasing the padding as I quite emphatically dislike my Icon seat, but am too cheap to pay for a whole new seat :p so the news that only the foam is available is happy news to me!

Have they (SC) released any up-to-date pictures of what their seats will look like? I'd be interested in the High seat possibly, but remember (??) being disenchanted by the original pics I saw of their first tries...

Thanks for the word on SC you two; wow, I had no idea. I've been very happy with their kits in the past, found them well worth the money and an easy DIY. I'd imagine a complete seat would sell like hotcakes, too. They may be missing the boat on this one.

Agreed, but I suppose they need to see how it sells before they can think of R&D for an aftermarket pan. When I go to their site, there is t even a tab for Ducati - looks as though this would be their first. I've personally had no replies to my (now, three) emails asking them about info about the Scrambler seats. I realize they're busy and all but it's starting to irritate me...

A local upholsterer told me that he could add in some softer padding for $75 and keep the stock cover. I'm thinking about it but right now we're short on cash so no purchases will be made until the end of the month. Hope SC finally has a handle on their orders and some news on the Scrambler seat by then...

Does anyone know if the seat covering is loose or glued to the cushioning?
Seems loose to me since it doesn't perfectly mould to the little dip in that stock seat cushion.

I'm just waiting for the day that SC announces they have a model because it's gotta be better than this Icon seat!! I actually didn't have as much problem with the Classic seat I rode but, ugh, this Icon slays (even now that it's "broken in", I'm still unimpressed by how my backside feels after longer rides)...

I'm really starting to like the looks of that Corbin solo seat. My only complaint is that right now I use luggage that goes over the seat, and that sloped rear won't allow for anything like that. The Comfort seat I've got now is nice enough, but as you get over that hump in the pan I definitely feel the difference in cushioning. I'm not comfortable with cutting out that plastic hump like I've seen elsewhere here on the forums, even if it does help, which leaves me in a bit of a pickle.

Does anyone know if the Corbin seat pan is straight and flat, or if there are any ridges along it? I think the extra padding could help out a lot (at the expense of someplace easy to keep your tool kit and registration/paperwork), but I'm not sure if I can make the $400 tradeoff...
