Hi,

Well, upside down potholes! Riding the bike this afternoon around 50mph and came across some uneven, pretty bumpy short stretch of road (like an upside down set of potholes or crappy speed bumps) I guess where they have repaired some potholes and just left a load of crap on top to make it really uneven (no vertical sides like a pothole).

I didn't see them in time and went over them, I was a bit surprised that the front suspension felt so firm. I'm not sure if it bottomed out (don't think so), but could certainly feel it hit hard on my hands as I braced myself (should have stayed relaxed).

Anyway, I know this is a "Scrambler" but would those type of things cause any kind of damage to the forks, alignment, bearings etc? And how would I know?

Thanks

I have no knowledge of technical stuff but the jarring is pretty much the nature of the beast :apologetic: . Many people don't find it a problem but I've been over some rough bits that have jarred me so much I've felt like my bottom rib has broken! I'm sure that nothing will be damaged and in my case I will be getting replacement shocks at some time. I've already had the rear replaced and it's made a world of difference - but has also served to highlight how bad the fronts are ... :ambivalence:
