Thanks so much! I'll give it a try tonight. I had only looked in the manual under my seat--I didn't not have this information.View attachment 17449 View attachment 17441 View attachment 17433 Try this Nadia ,haven't changed mine but I think it should work as it's in the title they may be in the wrong order
I suspected you may be right. When I tried to enter a new one, it had O: at the beginning--it wanted me to enter the old one. I believe it was from two owners ago so probably not likely. I may need to go to the dealer to get it changed. Thanks for the help! That only works if you know old one, dealer can change for you or try getting code from ex owner.
There might be other software, if you have local shop with Rexxer or similar, ask them
I think it allows a 'limp home' if the ECU shuts down for any 'safety' reason and the bike can't be started without entering the PIN. That's from dodgy memory rather than bothering to dig the book out I hasten to add! What is the pin for? I'm assuming you can still ride that bike...
There you go... that real knowledge thing againThere is an immobilizer system. The key has a chip in it to prevent theft. If the chip becomes damaged the key may still turn the bike on but you will need the pin to start it.
