Hi guys,

To all you fortunate Scrambler users, i have a question that i would love to see answered by people like you who know the machine and accessories.
I´m currently deciding which model to buy, which extras, etc. My main question is: exhaust.

I kindly ask your feedback on which exhausts you guys use, which is the best sounding exhaust? road legal or not. I saw a road legal one from SC projects that looked amazing - from the video i couldn´t say much about the sound. BUT then i saw/hear the Akrapovic black with two barrels and i was amazed!

Yah no offense but there's plenty of threads already dedicated to exhaust. However the majority of slip ons available for our bike all sound the same.

I don't have the link to it, but there is a fairly good video on YouTube that shows the main exhaust options back to back. From memory there is there Termi race can, Akra can, SC Projects C-RT can and at least one other that escapes my memory right now.
For me, after listening to that and viewing all the options available to us, I am going with the SC Projects C-RT system for mine. I like it's looks the best, and the sound seemed to be much nicer than all the others.

From all the exhausts i´ve seen so far the Akrapovic stole my heart, the looks and sound of it is second to none. The biggest problem is that the best sounding exhausts are race use only and cops really like those. I just don´t like the stock exhaust - i´ve had 4 Ducati´s in the past all with Termi´s and when i listened to the stock exhaust i couldn´t help thinking: "this is not a Ducati"

I understand your sentiments. I'm really trying NOT to get an after market... but the stock Termi definitely goes unheard.

Isn't the difference between the road legal one and the non road legal one the catalytic converter? I would think noise would be the same although the non-catted one will likely sound better.

From a lot of re-search leading up to buying my own exhaust....

Most low mount exhausts sound pretty similar.
Most high mount exhausts sound the same as each other too.

The only exhausts that sound different to me are the Akra dual pipe. Which has a more 'Harley like' uneven idle sound. The SC Project C-RT also sounds the most ridiculous because it's not far of being a straight pipe. I imagine the Competition Werkes sounds similar to the C-RT because it's a similar design.

The exhaust note changes slightly again if you get titanium headers, seems to make it a bit raspier at high revs.

I'm very happy with my SC Project Conic. SC Project are some of the cheapest options out there but their build quality is excellent.
