I'm not familiar with the JR shock from Ken, but I'd like bet it performs just has good if Ken recommends it, My Nitron shock just transformed my rear suspension , from being on a pogo stick rattling my brain and teeth, to totally forgetting about the rear suspension completely , it works that well, :D
I have mine set on - 6 clicks , the unladen sag was 12 mm and the laden sag was around 35 mm, I didn't need to adjust the sag, It came like that with no adjustment required, You'll need a couple of helpers with this adjustment, one to hold the bike up while you're sitting on it and another to do the measurements,

Totally agree with what Graham has said, I did have to soften it slightly more than what they recommended for me (-16 instead of -12). There is no comparison to the original shock and the best mod I have done (apart from softening the stock seat!).

I inquired to Nitron earlier this afternoon about the R1 vs R2 suspension for my use, plus asked whether they do kits yet for the front. One of the things I want to do is raise the bike maybe half an inch, give it a wee bit more ground clearance, and hopefully Nitron (and/or whoever I also have do the front) can accommodate this. The stock suspension really saps a lot of fun from this bike, and I'm hoping to fix this so I can really enjoy the bike again.

That, and a new seat. Because, damn. :angry3:

looks fantastic, something I think I need also, as I'm finding the ride a bit hard and bumpy.

Got the Nitron installed yesterday and it's great! The forks are stock though. Really too harsh, but I knew that before. The rear spring just makes it that much more obvious. Unfortunately I think the fork job is a little pricier. Still looking at options, but I'm thinking Andreani. I'd love to have two functioning fork legs, is that too much to ask?!

Dont expect such a dramatic change if you fit Andreani.....
Will handle better but ride is still hard at lower speeds.

I may well look into this, need more info though as I am not technically minded where bikes are concerned . I'll wait to see how yours works out, or perhaps speak to these people. I have mine on bottom setting purely for height. If I can get a better shock (along with lowered seat) which will improve things then maybe the throttle won't be an issue :)
Hi, I'm new here - but I also have a big issue with the very snatchy throttle response on my Scrambler, and have just ordered a 'G2 Throttle tamer' from Spain on Ebay. Apparently it has a much gentler lead in on the cam and may solve the problem. I will post a report in a week or so when I try it out !

I fitted it and it made the world of difference at low throttle openings.
