Given that I have a 200 mile round trip I'm going to enquire if they will send me the bolt and I send them the old one back. They probably won't wash it but no harm in asking. If not it could be many months before mine gets done. It'd be far cheaper to buy a bolt and fit it myself.
Did it and the thread is gone.. (first 3 turns)(or remove the stock one, add a dab of blue locktite and bolt it back together)
Yes, something like that.. bolt was just too short so when I torqued it more than I should it pulled out first 3 threads..Serious?? threads stripped? What is that, an M8x1.25 or something?
The bolt that is replaced is also stronger (tensile strength-wise) and torqued different using Loctite. Mine was replaced last Monday. Very quick service by my dealer. The KidSounds like you actually ran into why there is a recall.
