Has anyone else had their bike recalled for the side stand bolt. Mine's booked in for 11th Feb, hope it warms up ;-

Got my letter on Saturday, I informed my local dealer who are gonna get back to me with a date approx 2 weeks

Given that I have a 200 mile round trip I'm going to enquire if they will send me the bolt and I send them the old one back. They probably won't wash it but no harm in asking. If not it could be many months before mine gets done. It'd be far cheaper to buy a bolt and fit it myself.

Did it and the thread is gone.. (first 3 turns)
Just sayin there is a "thin line" between bolt undone and stripped - in my case was anyway

Yes, something like that.. bolt was just too short so when I torqued it more than I should it pulled out first 3 threads..
And I did not apply much force tbh, just "wrist tight"
So the solution was to make longer bolt that went all the way and ignore first 3 missing turns and just use those 6-8 that are further in the mounting hole.
It holds now just fine..

The bolt that is replaced is also stronger (tensile strength-wise) and torqued different using Loctite. Mine was replaced last Monday. Very quick service by my dealer. The Kid
