Speedo relocation

I know a few people want to move the speedo to a more central location. FCR have done it on their custom Scrambler, and it doesn't interfere with the ignition key...

I like it off to the side. It allows that area for other uses. I put a handlebar bag there. Others I am sure would put GPS there. It does look nice in the center
It looks good in that location, but I've got used to it where it is - I have my satnav on the other side to even it out!

That's a lot better, in my eyes anyway.
The brackets welding is a bit wild though and I'm not too sure the bar top shell clamp should be used to secure it but the overall idea is there.
While I'm finding fault, the wiring loom needs re-positioned away from the tank. Still, I think it's a definite option if executed a bit better.
What makes me laugh is some Monster owners said it looked stupid off set. Now being an old school and new school monster owner I have to point out that original monster speedo was offset to the left and no rev counter. And also most speedos are offset if have a revcounter as a pair. Just saying lol.

Back to thread and the speedo can easily be moved as has 3 bolts to mount and free to move around if you have a plate mount made. Just need to hack off the old cast mount.
I think it looks OK, Just personally I would prefer it in the centre or evened up with another clock.
I can see a few people changing it to the centre but doubt if anyone would go to the trouble of fabricating stuff to shift it off to the side.
I like quirky, so offset is fine by me.
Just posting as some people prefer "normal". :shrugs:
I like it where it is. But I'm dead boring :p
I think there's a wee bit of confusion between 'on/off to the side' and 'a bit on the side'.
Who doesn't like to be on and off a bit on the side?
I love to look in the center and see the speedo as long as it does not encumber the handlebars. For example:
