Just saw Revzilla has the SW MotoTech Legend bags that are fitted mounts for the Scrambler:

These are the nicest looking bags I've seen yet. Modern looking materials with a retro vibe and fully waterproof. They look a tiny bit "special ops" but not macho, which is great. Just clean and simple colors. Nearly sold on them.

My Motech bags and mounts are due tomorrow. They have informed me I am the first in the UK to get them.

I'm curious how they fit Icon because rear signals are about about an inch further from the seat on the Classic and the spacing looks pretty tight.

I have an Icon with the Classic Mudguards fitted, I dont see how the indicators are different? I was able to fit the Mudguards with no hassle. The cutout on the Mudguard sits exactly in the same position on the Icon.
Anyway my Bags should arrive today and then we will see if there is a problem.

So 2 hours later and the bags/carrier are mounted, no big deal, just a few screws. The last 2 on the upper part of the mudguard cost me at least 30 minutes, absolutely no finger room to fit but with a lot of effort they went in.

No indicator problems at all, very sturdy and I can at last get rid of the rack which did nothing for looks.

Now have a Telic rack in silver to get rid of, anyone interested?

Those do look nice, how hard would it be to remove them on the fly? Are there just removed by the few screws on the back or how do they clamp onto the carrier?

Also I am interested in the telic rack, sending message.

What size bags did you get? The reason why I ask is I would like to use the larger bag on both sides but can't tell if exhaust would be a problem.

I thought the Classic fender mounts the signals further back because that's how it looks on the Scrambler site:

Only the Classic fender looked further back, but it's probably just the photo angle. Wouldn't make sense having parts that weren't universal fit.

You could be right though, The indicators get relocated with the Classic mudguards, meaning you have to dismount and remount.

Have the asymmetric bags, I think any exhaust would be a problem unless it is blowing to the side.

Look the same as the photos direct on the SW-Motech Legend site, my photos dont look much at the moment until I can get the bike outside in warmer weather.

Their website only shows the Classic fender. Trying to see the Icon fit because (I think) the turn signals are further out on the Classic fender and it looks really tight already.

Not sure if this is good or bad, reply from SW MotoTech:

We did not test the Icon model. Attached you will find the mounting instructions for the bike specific side carrier. Please check if the mounting points on the Icon can be used the same way as on the Classic version.

Waiting to see if somebody with an Icon has it fitted.
