After two years of owning this bike the stars aligned and i made it out on a track, my first time on a paved track and i had a blast! I've done some things to the bike and it performed as well as a Scrambler could, in the novice group against sport bikes. It ran really well in the tighter sections/corners but couldn't keep up on the long straight...115mph tops before i had to shut it down.

This was at Summit Point, West VA. First timers get the orange vests..

congrats on making the leap - people take for granted how nimble they really are and in combination with low end torque and good riding, they can stick with the sport bikes through twists just fine. What kind of tires did you use? How did brakes hold up??

Track days are great learning tools. They let you learn just what your bike is capable of. Better to know it can do more so if something surprises you on the street you know what to do. Glad you had a good time.
