They're unbelievably loud. Sound like a foghorn . I'm embarrassed to use the horn on the FT, I think I'd rather get knocked off...… Well at least it looks to have better horns than the Scrambler
It's a 1988 350 Bullet. I bought it as a basket case in boxes so when I rebuilt it I did it as a 1950s model that my old man had when I was a nipper.

You weren't wrong though, the 350 Bullet was first produced in 1931 and was used by the British Army and RAF during WW2. The design has barely changed.
I reckon that, for a biker, being a despatch rider must have been as good as it got if you were in the military.
Yes, quite glamorous and fairly well paid to reflect the danger faced daily. I went to France in 2016 to visit the military war graves and memorials as my (great great great) Uncle was a dispatch rider, killed in WW1 at the battle of the Somme along with his two brothers, both infantry, one died at the Somme,the other Ypres.
