My girlfriend is headed on a motorcycle event this weekend and needed luggage. So we decided to repurpose a set of ammo cans as panniers. Ammo cans are kinda heavy but totally water proof. They come in all sizes and range from $5 to $40 at your local surplus store. This was never a permanent replacement for real panniers, but she loves the look. Here is my breakdown. The mounts we used are SW Motech legend series. Simple, robust and prolly the best looking when luggage is left at home. Next we took dimensions of the spool locations an drew a removable adaptor to hold the cans to the rack. The locking mechanism I hand fabbed as it was all coming together. Last but not least was a stencil to give the bike that military look the ammo cans deserve. What do you guys and girls think?

Thanks for the kind words, I work in a fabrication shop so some of those skill come easy for me. I'm really liking the scrambler the more I ride it. We got the bike a few months ago. Parts we ordered are the nitron rear shock and front cartridges from andeani. A windshield from MRA should finish off a nice retro looking adventure bike.

We used MRA windscreens on the Honda groms, I really like there fit and finish. They make mounting solutions that really work. I can't wait for the scrambler windscreen to get here. It going to get cold soon.
