Just put my bike in for its 7500 mile service. Being told the valve clearances are all over the place. Just wanted to ask....what is the cause of this, potentially? The bike seemed to be riding well, no issues.....
Cant have bike back till tomorrow now as its taking them a lot longer so thats 2 days without it. Curious whether this is going to be a bigger bill or is it the bikes fault...:)
Only silver lining at the mo is I have been given a brand new 821 as a courtesy bike. Fun.

Nothing wrong with the clearances beyond a small adjustment after all. Problem seemed to be in getting at one of the heads as it is pretty cramped in there. Fixed unit price so no nasty surprises, just a bit of a delay.
More questions have been thrown up though by me riding an 821 for a couple days....... Did I do well to buy the Scrambler I wonder....

Do you mind sharing how much it all cost you including the rest of the service?

£324 all in. This was a predicted £318 plus a few quid for new shims.
Judging from what people are posting on here, it sounds like you got a good deal on your 7500 mi service.

I had to convert it since I live in the US, but you paid well under $500 when some people I've seen post up to an $800 quote all in for that same service.

Thanks for sharing!

*Edit because I forgot a zero on "7500"
