Does anyone know of a good bike painter in Lancashire as I want my tank colour changing. I have had a price of £225 from one place but don’t know how good their work is. What do you think of the price?

Just a straight colour on the tank? what about the mudguards?

You remove everything yourself?

If so then any car place can do it - you do not need a bike specialist like dream machine.

If they will strip and prep - Paint - reassemble - Then you need a new badge or more tape - then that sounds like a fair price.

Cant help on the local knowledge

Just a plain metallic no big sparkles. I am stripping and rebuilding the tank.
Not having the guards done as it’s a Classic and the alloy guards will match the new colour scheme yet to be decided but probably titanium or metallic grey.
I have already had the panels off once and refinished them with plastidip.
Even though I am prepared to pay for a good job I think the price sounds a little high.

Then try a few car places... guess it will be a few hours work - that they can do inbetween other jobs - but good paint and 3 hours work in garage has to be £200.

Do you have an 1100 as seen in your avatar? I fancy one actually just been to Ducati to look at one. What is your opinion?

I had the 800 before the 1100 - its just as much fun - better suspension and brakes, bit more power, bit bigger, better noise, better looks (for me)......

LOVE IT!!

I wanted the Ohlins - but did not like the Matt paint.....

But TBH the standard suspension is adjustable and is fine... may not have the prestige of the Ohlins.. but handles as well as my 800 did with Ohlins and Andreani kit...

It took a few goes to get it dialed in... but got there OK..

The difference in price for me was worth it... if the Sport had been in Gloss Black.
