What exhaust systems are available in the UK?

5424 Views 24 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  Armata
I'm not a fan of the look of the Termignoni exhausts that are available and so I've been looking for other manufacturers systems that are available in the UK. And I seem to be having trouble finding who does what, where and when.

If you know who can supply/fit an aftermarket exhaust system in the UK I'd appreciate it if you could post a link so I can take a look and make a considered decision.

TIA

Why not one from Europe? The slip on style take 15 minutes top to fit... child can do it :)

Can a cack-handed child do it in 15 minutes? :)

If it's just the end can that you're changing then it's a 5 min job. 10 tops.
You might consider this}
Virex by McRacing Srl about 400 euro delivered to your door
Or this}
SC-Project Shop Ducati - SCRAMBLER - Conic silencer Same price

Both those companies offer other slip/ons too, all on those web sites. Homologated for EU use and with removable baffles.
Swapping out the original heavy silencer and cat for any of these really is only a 30 minute job, just go steady and it might be 35 minutes!
Yes - but if you take of the CAT - you really will need to remap as it will run lean

So yes its a 30 minute job for the change - but the tuning needs to be done by a specialist - ideally on a rolling road.

The Rexxer takes care of the tuning and I agree its a must do if CAT going walkies :)

I'm quite liking the Virex jobby but I'd like to see more if anyone has some links :)
Both the Virex and SC-Project units are Italian-Made.

If you are looking for a UK manufactured unit (Derbyshire) then the Scorpion Serket Taper fits the bill.

Not necessarily looking for uk manufactured.......just something available in the uk. I'm having trouble finding anything (that I like) and normally my googling skills are pretty good.

Dont limit yourself like that. Many of us in UK have ordered from other countries with no issues. In my case I ordered the SC Projects Conic direct from The manufacturer in Italy

I agree with TC3, order it within the EU and there are no extra taxes or import shennanigans.
Look here for some more links like Remus, QD, Zard(hideous!)

Also Akropavic do one now and there are loads of UK suppliers for that.

TC3 can you post any pics of your SC-Project on the bike?
Is the clearance to the rear footrest OK and does it give more room to your right heel? Mine hits the std. pipe when i sit back a bit

Only pic I have on my phone is this and am away from pc for a week. I remember my right heel touched the stock exhaust but it has not touched the Conic. Cant comment about rear footrest clearance as never take a pillion. Its a great quality exhaust and well priced too

Another option for those following this thread,

Looks pretty wild but light, Stainless Steel, and loud.
Maybe not for regular road use but for offroad it could be a good thing.
DANMOTO XG-1 Exhaust Ducati Scrambler 2015-2016 - All models EX971

just ordered one so will update when it arrives.

Have the QD low, very loud but has a Cat, so no tuning necessary.
