Winter is coming...

Hmmm, where have I heard that line before... ?

I have a lovely pair of Icon gloves that give fantastic feel and bike feedback during the summer.
However even showing them the freezer aisle in Tesco makes them twitch in agony.

Any suggestions for a toasty pair of winter gloves ?

I'm going for the heated grips version ;)
I'm saving up for heated gear. After trying on a friend's heated gear last winter I am convinced that's what will save me in cold weather. With that said, I have my eyes set on either the Gerbing glove liner or one of their gloves. Haven't decided.
I've started wearing my two finger winter gloves already, find them much warmer than single finger gloves,

I will buy soon v-Quattro Squadra 2 heated gloves. I've considered to install heated grips, but Ducati's one are too expensive and I need to go to my dealer (300 km all round) to get them activated. Heated grips are also heating only the inner part of hands, when heated gloves are heating all the hands.

So, definitively, this winter, I will ride with heated gloves.
I just bought some heated grips - but also 2 new pair of gloves

I like short gloves so bought Rukka Rytmi (from Germany) for warmer weather - still OK this morning with heated grips on my Multi for 120 miles - finger tips starting to get cold as coming home.

Then some thicker ones - Klim Element Short (from adventure bike shop )

I am really pleased with both.
I've got Gerbing heated gloves - have had heated grips before and while they do heat up your palm they are useless on fingers (which is where I feel cold the most). The Gerbings heat up all of your hand and are fantastic - only drawback is all the wiring!

I plan to buy self-powered heated gloves, with 7 volts battery. I think they are of course less efficient than "12 volts bike-powered" gloves, but for less than 3 hours ride, they will be sufficient.
I have a pair of River Road Chevron gloves that are good without a liner to about 40 degrees at 75 MPH. Add the liner and it will be snowing before you get cold. They were $48 from Revzilla. Very happy with them, especially for the price.
Wish I'd have seen these cheap!! Available for the Dcrambler!!

Ok an update on my Gerbing gloves. I do suffer very badly with the cold and especially in my fingers - so last week when I was tearing up the A55 (North Wales coast) I got very cold hands and upped the level to medium. I then felt my knuckles burning, and when I took them off all my knuckles were bright red! I later developed a huge blister and had the makings of two more. This may be because I need more heat than most other people in my hands, and had them too hot - but I wouldn't have thought medium setting should feel like it's burning, unless you're using it on a warm day?? ...

I've sent the gloves off to check that the elements aren't faulty, it may just be me

And another comment on heated gloves, I just cannot stand the wiring that has to go all over the place inside your jacket and I keep losing the controller once I've put my jacket on. In fact it's been driving me mad. So have decided if the gloves aren't faulty, I'm going for a Gerbing heated jacket which will hopefully do away with all the bloody wires

or .. may invest in the heated grips with hand guards ... more expense!!

Duchess - I have an end cap on my handgrips, do you just remove that to install these handguards? I found them for $33 US on Aliexpress and definitely want them!
Ooo I might have a look at these next time I visit my daughter - just down the road from her!
