One or two guys from the far east who look in here have fitted this. They left no feedback on the performance though.
Two rates on compression damping is a bit over the top for a road-going scrambler, but at that price why not!

Checked the web site kinda hard no English, the shock shown is the "Cadilac" model, equivilant to the R2 from Nitron, there are other models also. The simple one is around $300USD. I think for my purposes (budget) I'm going to contact YSS USA, and get more info, maybe even a new shock in the next couple of weeks!!

This is very interesting. I hope someone can provide a hands on review with a YSS shock at some point, they are very inexpensive!

Wemoto has the 'Z series' listed for under £300. That's less than the other cheapest option I've found, the M-Shock from Shock Factory at £350.

Beware the Z series shock. It's an emulsion shock (the lowest spec type) and may not be significantly, or any, better than your standard. shock.
M shock is technically much more advanced separating the gas and damping oil. And by all accounts on the forum better for both comfort and handling.

My advice is to buy from a reputable company, and buy one that's fully rebuildable, :)

Don't buy on price alone, :rolleyes: Would you believe the standard rear shock is £380 from a dealer :(
Do u think YSS is not a reputable company???
I m from Thailand and here they are very much implanted on the market!!! The shock that they offer for the scrambler is far to be a cheap options!!!

does anyone know what all the numbers refer to?
56= wire gage
150= spring length
110 = Nm but what does that actually mean in relation to your weight? Does anyone have a detailed explanation?

Old post revived!

I’ve got a YSS shock on my CRF250 Rally and been very happy with it so far, impressed with the quality for the money.

current scrambler came with an Öhlins shock on it, rebound adjuster has been ceased since I got it and the adjuster itself is made of very soft metal, quite a poor design in my eyes.

going in for a rebuild this week, looking forward to seeing what the Öhlins feels like when it’s working correctly.

Curious if anyone else has experience with the YS shock for the scrambler specifically? It is tempting as it is half the price of Ohlins or Nitron. I have Andreani forks so feel like the rear shock on the scrambler should be upgraded
