Hello.
I bought Full Throtte last year, but I've not been satisfied with the exhaust sound. For changing the sound, I am considering buying LeoVince CAT Eliminator.
I think if CAT is removed, the sould might be changed to what I want, but I don't know exactly.
I would like to hear from someone who did do that, nd how the sound is, and also would like to know whether there is no problem even no remapping.

I asked my bike shop to deploy "CAT eliminalor" but they refused to do that. And also they strongly recommended that I should not do that by myself also, because the heat of the engine would be rise and the engine won't work well (like a overheating) and also I can not get the warranty from DUCATI.
These days in Japan, the restriction about modifying motor bike is getting strict. Most of bike shops refuse modifying motor bikes. I think I should follow the trend of the times.

Depends what's legal in Japan, though understanding the modification culture over there, I imagine aftermarket exhausts are not to difficult to get approved or fitted?

Fitting a decat exhaust obviously has some downsides when it comes to emissions. You will be emitting more carbon monoxide. If that bothers you, is a debate only you yourself (and the local laws) can answer. Here in the UK, removing the cat on a motorcycle in the after market is perfectly legal as long as the exhaust is type approved. The number of miles I cover a year by motorcycle compared to other greenhouse emitting activities, like heating my home and driving my car, I believe to be negligible but there are fair arguments both ways.

The standard tuning and exhaust note of the Scrambler is sub-par from factory. Changing the exhaust and getting a suitable remap done REALLY brings the bike to life. Benefits are numerous.
I would never recommend dramatically changing the exhaust on a naturally aspirated engine, without altering the ECU fuel maps to match. Many say the bike runs fine without but it's kind of missing the point and wasting the potential benefits, to save a little bit of money. The exhaust saves the weight, looks better and sounds better but the other benefits require a good ECU map or Power Commander piggy back.

Benefits of decat (or less restrictive cat) exhaust + ECU remap:
  • Better throttle response
  • Better sound
  • Significant weight loss
  • Less heat from the hot cat & exhaust
  • Cooler running engine
  • Smoother engine at low RPM (below 4000rpm)
  • Stronger torque at higher RPM
  • Better fuel economy

I looked a little into the exhaust modification laws in Japan. They do seem strict. +5db over factory sound rating is tight but since decibels isn't a linear scale, you could make a fair bit more noise without breaking the rules. Your best bet would be finding an exhaust that comes with a resonator, they make it a bit quieter than the majority of just straight pipes. Also don't modify the manifold/header pipes from the engine, as I've found that contributes quite a lot to making more noise.

The factory option Termignoni "Race" exhaust does too but that is sold as not approved for road use, so could be problematic.

Both with the baffles in, would stand a decent chance of fitting within noise laws. If Ducati fit the race exhaust, it will also come with a factory remap to suit but you pay a lot for that setup.

Thanks for detailed comments.
Actually, what I would like to do is changing exhaust sound louder like a racing machine, so I don't want legal level sound.
In Japan, these days, they treat only regal muffler, but that isn't what I want.
Before there were some shops to do that, but now, there are a few.
My bike shop, they never do illegal modification.
So, I decided to ride my motor bike as it is.

Hola, he puesto en mii ducati scrambler full trother de 2024 el descatalizador de leovinci. Y el sonido es tremendo. No he tocado la ecu. Por lo que si noto pedrida en bajos y muchos petardos. METROe gustarĂa poner una emu plug and play para cuando tenga que ir al concesionario. Poder retirarlo todo y poder seguir respetando la garantĂa.
