The Scrambler handles very nicely but out handling a Hyper 1100 evo on every road... I think that's probably pushing it. That or your mate is a bit cautious.

Admittedly, I've only ridden the newer 959 Hyper but it would run rings around my Scrambler, all day long. Stickier rubber, much more lean angle and the brakes were on a different planet.

I've ridden my friends 796 Monster and even that out handles my Scrambler. You can lean on the front more and again... much better brakes.
i race bikes and so does he , hill climbs and sprints and road race circuits, nothing comes past scrambler , i push to limit , they are that good , ive had 1100 evo , to hard suspension , same 6 inch travel on both bikes ,

you come to the lakes with your best bike and put it to test , there is only one winner scrambler

Hi,

Week before i reached 201kmph in scrambler Icon. Just i want to know what about others. how much this bike is capable, I checked in youtube and i saw only 194kmph top speed. One of my friend said some one reached 238kmph in his scrambler.

And you, what top speed did you reached?
Was 124mph oil the chain 128mph flat freeway super stable

I've seen 131mph on the odometer. I just had the bike on the dyno and the top speed was 125mph. That is probably a more accurate speed. And it measured 70hp. They did not measure the torque. I'm happy and ok with 125mph since it's a naked bike. Cruising speed of about 90mph is fine with me with the periodic blip of the throttle to reach a ton or just over a ton.

With longer gearing (44T on the rear) I'm not getting any higher speeds. Bike still hits it's limit at about 130 indicated, so probably closer to 125 in reality. At least now it isn't bouncing off the limiter while doing it.

This is fine, with no wind protection and the big wide FT bars, anything over 115 is majorly hard work.
It will quite happily cruise at 80-85mph at less than 6,000rpm now.

Yesterday I've managed to get 200 kmph on speedo on flat, empty higway. The bike was fully-loaded, filled-up with fuel, with 10 L tankbag and 30 L bag on the back. The GPS though shows max speed reached 187 kmph. My FT has IXIL RC2 exhaust, no catalyser and the rear gear wheel is freshly changed to the one from Panigale.

Mine goes 172 km/h on race track in Assen :02.47-tranquillity: - keep in mind , its from 1968 with 435 ccm :binkybaby:

Circuit d'automobile Croix en Ternois is in Arras - great little track - watch-out for the hairpin at the end of the straight :) Nice bike too. My scrambler doesn't lean that far without grinding stuff so I just use it for the feel-good factor and many trips to the coffee shop.

Had 120 yesterday we'll I think it was I saw 117 and thought keep going but look forward not down but it was quite stable still loving it

I did a good long ride yesterday and hooked up with a Triumph Bonnie and a BMW GS 1200R. They cruised at an indicated 140 - 150 km/h and I had no problem keeping up. Plenty fast enough for me. I even saw 165 km/h at one stage. But this was just a once off for me. Usually I will back off at 120 km/h as this is my usual cruising speed. Fuel economy does does take a beating at those speeds though. From 27 - 29 km/l at 100 - 120 km/h down to 19 - 21 km/l at 140 - 160 km/h.

Saw 122 on the speedo on a toll road a couple days ago...actually felt pretty stable. I have also been up there at COTA on the back straight during a track day--all the liter bikes and R6's screaming by me. Once the scrambler gets into the corners though it can hold it's own for the most part (beyond my ability still).

Now the bike is due a service and spring time re-fresh, top speed appears to have dropped to about 118mph from the previous 125ish. I hate that feeling when you know a bike really needs fresh oil.

Need to stop being lazy and change it more often than the handbook says I HAVE to.

Duh, not again, the bike has a shit top speed because it does not have any fairing. Now I have big balls but the most I have taken it to is 170 round abouts and that is more than enough for the type of bike it is. You should be asking more about how fast is it in the twisties because thats its home and thats what Ducatis do best.
I I want to go fast I just jump into my SLK and bomb down the motorway at 250km/h if I can find a bit of road thats empty.
Lol " when I want to go fast I hop into my slow car."

I have hit 116 mph on my Desert Sled passing two semi trucks lol. I feel there was a lot more left.
I have hit 104 mph on gravel roads twice also.
The bike has the stability to do so.

118 mph on the Italia Independent
124 mph on the Urban Enduro
108 mph (today) on the Sled. But likely will go up.
