Damn, in theory looks easy. I was looking at 800 silencer because they already have the upper fixing system for the frame.
That would be a great way to start but lot's of other pipes could probably be used. Just find a guy or shop that can weld and a silencer you can live with. Car exhaust shops that do custom instalments might be the best way to go as they already have loads of diameters and angles of pipe.

The dealer replied(that has the Termignoni aproved silencer in stock) that after looking at the end can they can probably make it louder but that it won't be reversable in their opinion.
They do think the Akrapovic system can be altered so that the db killers can be taken out and when needed be placed back. I also got some additional pictures of the Akrapovic system that I haven't seen before on the website.

I didn't delete the cat so I can't tell. Most aftermarket exhaust manufacturers say it will be fine but with a cat delete a remap might be advisable. You also need a Healtech servo eliminator if you don't remap.

I did it. Full race system. Night and day sound from stock , and people who say otherwise don't have the coin. Bike felt like a freight train before the exhaust swap out. Grab it if you can afford it, and get as much stock crap off it as you can.

Where are you feeling the heat?

The scrambler 1100 - is not one of the hot running Ducati's

But the cans are pretty straight through..

You may get a little less heat on your bottom if you add a link pipe and remove the CAT and do the other necessary mods (Duc E or Spring)

If its your legs that's hot - then you could wrap the headers in insulating wrap.
Hey there Simon:

Can you provide more details about the “necessary mods” you mentioned?

My ’new to me‘ Scrambler 1100 came with Akrapovic slipons. I’ve ordered the cat-delete mid-pipe and I am looking for help on the install - id like to avoid having the bike throw a code after I install the mid pipe.

You need a Healtech servo eliminator. Then you can remove the servo that opperates the valve all together saving some weight.
There's also a trick to taking the db killers out from the Akrapovic slip ons. Don't try to drill out the rivots, it won't work.

Yo!!!

do you have the part numbers? Gonna do this!!!
No I don't. Heres the Slipon: Racing Termignoni Slip-on: Fits all Scrambler 1100 models - pure-ducati.com

Call you Ducati Dealer. Hopefully they are a good shop hat will do the install without having to two you in and tape your light, as per law. WHOEVER does it make sure they know the bike. I had Wheels In Motion in Los Angeles do my install, and they had only recently started carrying Ducati. My pipes still have a good amount of play - I need to tighten (but also I mentioned that i removed by entire rear assembly so there's no place to brace the cans now). But They didn't even install the oil filter correctly. So its not about just carrying Ducati. Its about KNOWING Ducati.

You may be able to find the system on eBay, but there is so much risk now, I would pick up the phone and run this project through the best shop you can find.

I'd be curious to hear from folks who have the full system, but use baffles. I had a termignoni exhaust on my M696 and enjoyed the unfettered sound, but these days I prefer it to be more muted. In fact, I quite like the levels of my stock exhaust now; I wouldn't want to increase the volume too much.
